Michael Rosner was in a single car accident 10/21/07 because he made the decision to get behind the wheel and drive after spending the evening drinking with friends. He arrived CODE BLUE in the Trauma ICU - non-responsive, in danger of immediate death.
We are inspired by his strength and determination and believe it was through the love of this community, through prayer and by the grace of God that Michael is with us today. If you believe, you will recieve. We believe.
Mike on his feet for the 1st time since his accident. A physical therapist lifts and supports him to a standing position. At the end of November Michael still was unable to talk - there were no words. He could not stand, sit, reach, grip, or eat without assistance. A portion of his skull had been removed so no further damage would be done by the intracranial swelling - the helmet was to protect his brain where the boneflap had been removed:

From that dreadful night in October ‘07, our lives have changed in many ways. We gained a new , deep appreciation for the ones we hold dear but our circle lost two wonderful souls, dear friends during the lesson. We learned to take not one day or one person for granted. We learned the consequences of drinking and driving up close and personal - it is ugly.
