I have been praying for Mike and your family every night. I am counting down the days until I am there in Va. I check this website every moment I can. Stay strong and I am routing for him to make a full recovery and from the news I’ve been reading, he is fighting his way towards that. I will never forget the genuine hospitality I received when I was a frequent visitor in your home. Thank you for looking out for “us kids” back in the day. light at the end of the tunnel .there is hope there is a girl in our
squad that was in a accident and she was in a coma for three weeks and in the hospital for 6 weeks and has fully recovered.

However, as a new mother, my heart goes out to you and even aches — as far as it can go— for your son. It’s times like these that bring you straight to the word and WORKS of the Lord. Like you said above; no, he will not foresake you. The Lord is beyond the starting ground, he is the ending ground, the healer, the light, the provider, and provides ever lasting eternal salvation. Like you said; he is speaking to you through the music, through his friends, through his yawns, breaths, and squeezes of Mike’s hands. The bible says you must always have Faith, Hope, and Love, and Love is the strongest of the three - and i dont think a Mother’s Love is comparable to a thing! are in.After being in the rescue sqad for 30 years I have seen those
emotions in the begining and after a period of time and based on
that for you to be level headed you need to make sure all of you are
are taking care of yourselves.eating and proper rest.I know this is easier said then done but till the light gets brighter at the end of the
tunnell it is thebest advice I can give.The other thing i know is most
people will give words of advice and best wishes and hall all the
best intentions at heart but still ofend or hurt feelings with all the things on your mind keep this one because every one has the benifit of loving your family and do not want to lose that privelage.

I can’t express how excited that I am that Mike is starting to respond. I totally believe that he hears you, he hears everyone and soon he’ll be awake and well rested and home. I cried tears of joy that he responded (Yes, you read correctly Bobby- I cried!!! It’s a once in a blue moon kinda thing- and I was soo happy that I cried). November 6th, 2007 at 3:23 am All my love for all of you from 3 thousand miles. I’ve been sending it from the beginning. I’m on this page daily for updates, but haven’t posted many comments. Every time i do i have to tell Mike “i love you, brah.” When Mike gets to read all of this i can’t have him thinking i’m soft. He knows, we don’t have to talk about it, its a guy thing.
I’m sure you have pictures of him everywhere. Almost nightly i check his myspace, to meditate on his face in the hopes i can reach him in a mutual dream. I would ask him to “wake up soon. I know you’re enjoying yourself in this other world but this is hard on everyone, especially mom deaux.” And i’m sure he would come to quick if he knew you were upset.

I am so excited for you with all of the progress Mike’s made and we know that if he’s anything like you, he’ll keep charging forward! You were a bright spot for us in NOVA– and know we’re sending healing thoughts from AZ.
As we wait for our son to be born, we are thinking of your’s.
I don’t think it would be possible, from what I’ve read, for him to have more people rooting for him!! And that makes all of the difference in the world.

If I had the power I would turn back time and keep this from happening to Mike, to you and your family.

Im not sure if we have actually met face to face, but i swam with Mike on Osbourn swim team and against him in summer league for the Sudley Seahorses. Im a year above him (Graduated in 99), but my brother mark worked up at Stonewall pool and he was in the same grade as Mike. But this was in response to your “gift” nate. His artistic ability is truly amazing. A couple years back when i was attending JMU, Nate and his old band off white came down one weekend and set up their equipment in our downstairs living room and just played a straight up unbelievable show, especially in the closed cramped area of our living room. We had people from all over my apartment complex area stopping by that we had never met because they heard the amazing tunes coming out of our apartment. They were amazing that night, id like to say we threw one of the best parties at JMU that year. Both of your sons are amazing. I hope you are coping the best you can, you have two wonderful sons. Also i would like to apologize for my unannounced visit i had on Sat. November 3rd. I didnt see the message written on the 2nd that only family and a select number of close friends would be allowed to visit. I will def call and let you all know to make plans and see if its ok next time. I def didnt mean any disrespect in any way. I did have some wonderful conversations with Mike and Nate’s grandmother and her friend though while i was there. It was a very positive experience. Hang in there. My dad is the chairman of radiology for Prince William hospital and other area hospitals but unfortunately not Fairfax. If there is anything i can do or ask him for you all, please let me know. Some of Mike’s friends will know how to get in touch with me.

I don’t know how you have kept yourself together through all of this, and then with everything that happened to Emily. You know what they say, “When it rains, it pours.” But eventually the sun always comes out and dries everything up. I really believe that is finally starting to happen. I really admire your strength through all of this. I can’t even imagine what a wreck I would be if it was my daughter in his position right now. I can only hope that if, god forbid, something like this ever happens to me and my family, I will have half the strength you do. Hang in there! Better times are near!

November 9th, 2007 at 3:03 pm Rae God bless us with five beautiful grandchildren Mike, Nate, Emily Avalon and Brandon. As we have watch them grow we know they are special little people. They have touched our lives in so many ways. Mike will be back to us, Nate will continue to grow and keeps us all laughing, Emily has grown into such a beautiful young lady watching her is such a pleasure, knowing that we are part of the family. Avalon is looking forward to going to proms thanks to Emily will look good and Brandon loves his cousins and Uncle Bobby and Aunt Rae he really enjoyes the four legged cousins. I cannot even imagine the rollercoaster you are riding. Just know that we are here for you if you need to rest and lean on us. Unfortunately Mike has a long road ahead of him, but I know in my heart he will triumph. I have always hated that word TIME. If you look at it Mike overall has come along way in a very short time. Just remember through the bad times that it is just a part of the healing process and there will be many more good times to come.God Bless You and Your Family,

You have giving all three of the children this. as you sit and sing by the way you have a beautiful voice Mike can hear. When I sit with him early on Sunday’s I sing to Mike (mess the songs up) but I feel he hears me and knows that grandmother is there for him. a love for your children is strong as I love my children I can feel your pain as that is my grandson and I feel the pain of watching him and knowing that I cannot make him better at the moment. God hears our prays and he will answer be patient for God does not forsaking us he hears and if you listen he will answer you. Be strong as you state you are a fighter so hear is the battle and I believe we will win. Love Bouffie

I wish I was with you to cheer him on, on the sidelines. Not only will he win this race, but he will win the record for gold medals too. You are in my thoughts constantly.
